OUR SULTRAP MAKES IT LOOK LIKE THIS

SOS practices environmental prevention through the introduction of the SULTRAPTM. We understand the challenges industries face in keeping tight EPA standards, as well as the financial cost in the maintenance of sulfur seal legs. By replacing conventional seal legs with a SULTRAPTM, industries no longer have to worry about these problems.

 

THE SULTRAPTM IS A PATENTED TRAP DESIGNED TO ALLOW THE SEPARATION OF LIQUID SULFUR FROM THE ACID GAS IN A SULFUR RECOVERY UNIT. THE SULTRAP WAS DEVELOPED TO ELIMINATE THE REQUIREMENT FOR SULFUR SEAL LEGS. It requires no electrical or pneumatic assistance. Its short design eliminates the need for in-ground seal legs and below ground storage. It is ASME coded and steam jacketed. It allows for easy cleanout without lengthy shutdowns thanks to its quick release head.

When placing an order for the 2001M please specify 2001M-A,B, C for material designation as listed below.

2001M-A. All CARBON STEEL WITH INTERNAL (316L) FLOAT ASSEMBLY.

2001M-B. CARBON STEEL (JACKET AND SHELL), HEAD (316L).

COOLED WALL THERMAL REACTOR

Cooling the outer wall of an inner tube that is experiencing high temperature is a forgone fact in the chemical and petroleum processing industry. In fact within the Claus unit, the waste heat boiler tubes are cooled with water in a natural circulation steam generator. This method has been used for years, successfully, even when the gas temperatures are in the range of 3000 degrees. Actually, these waste heat boiler tubes are made of carbon steel material and can have a life expectancy of up to 20 years. The design of the thermal reactor without refractory is a modification whereby we actually cool the inner wall of a double walled thermal reactor with a formulated heat removal agent under forced circulation.The forced circulation increases heat removal and reduces any hot spotting.The inner wall is an alloy material while the outer wall is a standard carbon steel construction. The resulting temperature of the inner wall is less than half of the maximum recommended temperature for it’s alloy material.
